Ambassador Camerer crowned Miss Summer

Ambassador Sheila Camerer was invited to be the honorary patron of the Miss Summer  competition at the Elenite resort on the Black Sea on Saturday, 14th August.  The jury which included Miss Bulgaria 2009 chose Plamena and she was crowned by the Ambassador.

 

Ambassador Camerer visit to Vidin

H. E. Ambassador Sheila Camerer visited the town of Vidin on 16th and 17th July2010 at the invitation of Mr Vesselin Koshev, President of the Direct Democracy European Movement and the Mayor of Vidin, Mr Rumen Vidov. Ambassador Camerer was in the company of the Georgian Ambassador and the Kazakhstan Charge d’Affaires.

South African Summer Festival in Padina

The Mission co-hosted a spectacular FIFA World Cup closing event at the Villa Marciana, Padina Village outside Varna, billed as a South African Summer Festival, together with the President of the Bulgaria-South Africa Chamber of Commerce Franz Josef Grenzebach.
The programme started at 6pm on Sunday, 11 July with a press conference. A large contingent of media including TV was present and stayed for the event.

South African Festival in Padina for the WC FINAL

On the occasion of 2010 FIFA World Cup The Bulgaria-SA Chamber of commerce organizes a Summer festival of South Africa with the support of The Embassy of South Africa in Bulgaria. The event will take place on 11th of July at 19:00 o`clock in the summer garden of Vila Martziana, Padina, Devnya Municipality.

MEETING WITH MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT, LAWYERS AND HEADS OF NGO’S FROM FRANCOPHONE AFRICAN COUNTRIES

Ambassador Sheila Camerer met with prominent visitors to the School of Politics of the New Bulgarian University in Sofia from Francophone Africa including a member of  Cameroon’s Parliament, Mr Emah Etoundi, two lawyers from Burkina Faso,  Mr Honoré Tiegnan and Mr Yves Nassouri, Madame Salem Camara, President of a prominent NGO in Mauritania and Mr Sébastien Agbota, a journalist from Benin. They are investigating the possibility of establishing a School of Politics on a regional basis similar to the one in Sofia.

Two South African Agriculture Provincial Ministers, Mrs L Johnson of KZN and MG Qabathe of Free State visited Bulgaria to attend a conference of the International Union for the Protection of New varieties of Plants in Veliko Tаrnovo.

AMBASSADOR OF RSA WATCHED THE WORLD CUP MATCH BETWEEN SA AND URUGUAY IN DUPNITSA

The Ambassador of RSA, Sheila Camerer and her husband Mr Alex Camerer arrived in Dupnitsa to watch the match between South Africa and Uruguay. Ambassador Sheila Camerer, Mr Camerer and First Secretary Thabiso Motau and his wife Mrs Gloria Motau, Attache (Consular) visited Rila Park at the invitation of independent MP, Dimitar Chukarski.

OPENING CEREMONY AND OPENING MATCH IN NDK


The Embassy of the Republic of South Africa and the Bulgarian National Television (BNT), in partnership with the Official FIFA Partners and Sponsors and cooperation of the National Palace of Culture (NDK), hosted a live broadcast , from South Africa, of the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 FIFA World Cup and Opening Match (South Africa v/s Mexico) on 11 June 2010.

President team won 5:3 against diplomats

 

On 8th  June President Parvanov’s soccer team played a diplomatic team in Pravets.  (President’s team won  5 – 3).
After the match President Parvanov hosted Ambassadors at a dinner. At the President’s table were the South African, Lebanese, Spanish, Brazilian ambassadors and their spouses.

JOHN  KGWALE TSEBE

John K. Tsebe was appointed National Librarian of South Africa since March 2004. Before his appointment he had been University Librarian at then University of the North (now University of Limpopo) for 19 years. He has been working in the Library and Information Services (LIS) profession since 1975.
